A worker has died following an incident on a BP platform in the North Sea.
A medical incident took place at around 8pm on Friday on the Andrew platform, around 140miles north-east of Aberdeen.
The worker was evacuated to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by helicopter.
BP has confirmed the worker has died following the incident and said it extends deepest sympathies to their family.
A spokesman said: “BP is deeply saddened to confirm an offshore worker died following a medical incident on the Andrew platform at around 8pm on Friday [April 19].
“We have been working with Police Scotland and the individual’s employing company to support those affected. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased and their colleagues on Andrew.”
