Spirit Energy has released a video showing the journey to first oil for its Oda field off Norway.

The firm started production in March, several months ahead of schedule and under budget as a tieback to the Ula platform.

The footage shows the various planning and execution stages, from manufacturing pipelines to underwater installation.

Oda was discovered in 2011.

Spirit holds a 40% stake in Oda, with partners Suncor energy Norge (30%), Faroe Petroleum (15%) and AkerBP (15%).
