Well-Safe Solutions is moving headquarters in Aberdeen following a key contract win and the acquisition of its first asset.
The oil and gas decommissioning company, launched in 2017, said it had invested several million pounds in the new HQ at C4 Gateway Business Park, Cove, after outgrowing its current offices at Hill of Rubislaw.
It added it was on track to deliver “ambitious plans”, having recently acquired a semi-submersible drilling rig – the Well-Safe Guardian – and been awarded a “landmark” contract to decommission 21 wells on the Schooner and Ketch fields, operated by Faroe Petroleum, in the UK North Sea.
The firm currently employs 50 people but aims to grow its workforce “quickly” to 200.
Well-Safe legal and commercial director Graeme Murray said: “This has been an exciting journey and we are now ready to take the next step towards growing the business.
“We are delighted to have found an ideal building that will give our employees a great working environment.
“It also will give us very quick access to our Dundee marine base, and with the new bypass, will make it much easier for all our employees to travel to and from the site.”
The leased facility has the capacity to house more than 200 people over two floors, with Well-Safe initially taking over the top floor and having the option to expand downstairs at a later date.
