Former legal expert for Total joins Aberdeen law firm

A former legal expert for French oil giant Total has has been appointed partner at Brodies’ Aberdeen office.

Bryan Wilson is former general counsel for Maersk and latterly Total following its £5.8bn takeover of Maersk Oil last year.

Brodies said Mr Wilson has led a number of oil and gas projects and has experience with operators and service companies in the UK, Scandinavia and Middle East.

He joins along with Elaine Farquharson-Black who comes on board from Burness Paull to the housebuilding and planning team.

Based in the firm’s Aberdeen office, their appointments bring the total headcount to 87, up 16% in the last 12 months.
