FMS nets eight-figure North Sea deal with BP

A mooring specialist based in Aberdeen has clinched at three-year, eight figure deal with BP in the North Sea.

First Marine Solutions (FMS), founded in 2009 and owned by oil tycoon Ian Suttie, is providing mooring equipment, having started work on the contract in July.

FMS managing director Steven Brown said: “This award demonstrates our capability and capacity to support the mooring equipment requirements for one of the leading operators in the UKCS.

“This contract award validates our recent investment in terms of both capital equipment / infrastructure and is fundamental to our strategic growth plans.

“We very much look forward to delivering a first-class service.”
